Hand painted scarves

Luxurious linen

The Process

How it's made

Dutch design

Combining her passions for sustainability, design and making things by hand, Dutch designer Inge van Geem creates beautiful scarves using luxurious linen, organic cotton thread, non-toxic ink and her own two hands.

Belgian linen

The use of linen gives the scarves a unique blend of luxury and comfort, elegance and sustainability. Inge works with Belgian linen, which is grown, harvested, spun and woven just 222km (138 miles) from her home.

Hand painted

Inge paints her designs onto each scarf by hand. This makes the scarves truly unique, since no two scarves will ever be exactly the same.

Hand made

The cutting, painting, fringing and ironing is all done by hand. Inge’s hands get help with sewing from her vintage sewing machine, which is as old as she is, but works just as well.
